Working in roofing sales early in his career, Josh saw how confusing and frustrating the contractor experience could be for homeowners. Too many companies. Too many phone calls. Too little accountability. He decided there was a better way to do it, and in doing so, built one of Northeast Ohio’s most trusted exterior contracting companies from the ground up.
Fifteen years later, Silver Leaf Contracting serves homeowners across the Canton area and the surrounding region, handling roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, and outdoor living projects under one roof. The goal has always been the same: Give homeowners one company they can call, one team they can trust, and one standard of quality they never have to question
Josh runs Silver Leaf on three principles: Honesty, integrity, and quality. Those aren’t marketing words to him. They show up in the way his crews work, the materials they install, and the conversations he has with every homeowner before a project begins.
His crews use Company Cam on every job, sending homeowners real-time photo updates throughout the day so there are no surprises and no wondering what is happening on their property. When a project is finished, Josh personally walks through it with the customer.
He doesn’t cut corners. Where other contractors reuse worn flashing or skip details that aren’t visible from the street, Silver Leaf replaces what needs replacing and documents what they’ve done. Josh owns an Equipter and a Catch-all, equipment that fewer than one in five roofing contractors invest in, because keeping a homeowner’s yard clean and debris-free matters to him. His team also uses Smart Tarps to protect the property during every install.
When a job is done, Josh drives away knowing it was done right. And when he drives past one of his projects years later, he’s looking to see if it still stands up, still looks good, and still makes the house stand out on the street.
